Have you ever spun a pottery wheel? Ha’ani, a girl who used the Janitell pottery wheel, felt this way, “I feel like I was really good at it, and it was a good experience.” Tristan, who also used the pottery wheel, said this about how they felt: “I was struggling and couldn’t keep it stable.” We asked them if they successfully created pottery here’s what they said “Yes, and it was really pretty,” and “Yes, but I messed up like 3 times. I messed up the first part because it just crumbled up, the second try it was flying everywhere, but I actually got it the third time.” Then we asked them what the hardest part was for them: “I had to keep on redoing it and trying not to get any air bubbles,” and “The hardest part was where I had to make the bowl because making the bowl needed force and you needed it to be even.” Lastly we asked them if they would try the pottery wheel again. One said “Yes” and the other said “No, because it was too much work and I feel like I didn’t want to do it again.” Although the pottery wheel might not be for everyone, it could still be fun!
