If you've been paying attention to Widefield Parks & Rec, I bet you're asking “what is Bear Trap?” Well, Bear Trap is a 2-day camp for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders (as of 2022-2023 school year). On this trip you can take a hike to get a great view, “rappel a boulder face, learn about nature, leave no trace, sing around a campfire with s’mores, and stargazing during a night hike.”

Bear Trap is a 35 hour trip outdoors with new people and friends. It cost $95 per child, but that includes snacks, transportation, and 3 meals. One of Janitell's teachers, Mr. Homberger, said he “absolutely recommends students to experience Bear Trap.”

If you want to be a part of this adventure there is a mandatory meeting on May 18th and required paperwork that needs to be filled out in person. Remember there are limited spots open so if you're interested, apply now!
