The clock is ticking– Tick-tock, tick-tock. Sweat running down contestants’ faces- everyone is silent. Finally, a king fell. Unfortunately, the winner was not from Janitell.

Although Janitell didn’t win, they felt like winners in their hearts. Hailey, in second place, could be a winner in the eyes of Janitell; the coach was proud. Mr. Homberger is a great coach for his league of chess contestants, saying “younger players did a great job. Our older players struggled against the competition. Except for Kyle. He played very well against the competition.”

With over 36 combinations, it can be seen how well every one of the chess contestants of Janitell played. We honor those students who played.
