“The dragon angrily roars at you for attempting to steal its treasure, and it blasts you all with a huge beam of fire!”, the Dungeon Master says. This is simulating a scenario in a game you might have heard of and known as Dungeons and Dungeons. It is a very fun and enriching game that gives you plenty of your daily intake of goblin slaying.

Dungeons and Dragons is a game where you do literally anything, so long as your Dungeon Master allows it. I’m not even kidding when I say that. I have gone down a long path of playing the game that got me turned into a rat. Other players still call me Whiskers. As said by letgrow.org, “In play, kids play learn focus, cooperation, problem-solving, leadership, risk-assessment, and pretty much everything good except how to bake brownies. In Dungeons and Dragons they get all of that plus some math and science skills, too.”

More evidence suggests that D&D is a great way to meet new people, talk and hang out, and have lots of fun fighting and solving puzzles. In a news article by whatnerd.com, they mention how some benefits of playing the game are that you can “make new friends” and “boost creative thinking”, along with being able to “improve listening skills” and “practice problem solving.”

As someone who plays D&D a lot, I can say with confidence that Dungeons and Dragons is one of the single best tabletop games ever created, and with new content coming out all the time, it shows no signs of slowing down!
