One day I was sitting on my couch being bored as all people are on Sundays, when I had an idea! I was going to become a DM (Dungeon Master) for D&D (Dungeons & Dragons)! When I first picked up all the books, it was ... scary to say the least. All the stuff I had to memorize and all the rules and stats were overwhelming. But I wasn’t discouraged. I pushed through and made notes and reminders. I felt invincible!
But that's when I needed to plan out my campaign. I was scared that my players wouldn't like it if I even got one thing wrong or messed up once. I tried for weeks to make everything PERFECT, and I had a dead-line. I was so nervous the day before I forgot to bring my dice (luckily they had an extra set), but once we started playing I found it got easier when the players started acting and roleplaying on their own.
Now we are going into our 10th session tomorrow. So just know if you're going to DM for D&D, don’t be worried. Just don’t give up and push through. Your players will like it even if you mess up. Just don't be worried like I was.
